Rahman Ilkhani, MD, FACS, is a board-certified general surgeon specializing in vascular and vein surgery at CHW Cares in Washington Heights, Manhattan. His mission is to help improve the health and quality of life of his New York City patients.
Dr. Ilkhani completed medical school at the University of Tehran in 1974. He then completed a cardiovascular surgery residency at Tehran Heart Hospital in 1977. After relocating to the United States, Dr. Ilkhani completed a surgical residency at The New York Methodist Hospital of Brooklyn and a cardiovascular surgery fellowship at Texas Heart Institute in Houston.
To stay abreast of the latest developments in his field, Dr. Ilkhani maintains professional memberships with the American College of Surgeons, Denton A. Cooley Cardiovascular Surgical Society, International Society for Endovascular Surgery, Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons, Brooklyn Surgical Society, International Society of Vascular Surgery, and Society of Vascular Technology.
In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. Ilkhani lectures, supervises, and teaches medical students, and serves on numerous committees.
